Hyderabad: A high-level delegation led by Gujarat Revenue Minister Rajendra Trivedion Friday held a roadshow in Hyderabad as part of the forthcoming 10th edition of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) 2022. Inviting investors to Gujarat, Trivedi said that the VGGS 2022 presents a unique business opportunity for entrepreneurs. The Summit is scheduled from January 10 to 12, 2022.

Speaking on occasion, Trivedi, said: "Since Telangana also has diverse industries like pharmaceutical, auto components industry, spices, mines and minerals, textiles and apparels, horticulture etc, and some of the leading industrialists have established their manufacturing units in the State; I would take this opportunity to invite the industrial leaders across all the sectors to invest and expand their business in our State and avail the benefits and incentives being offered by the Government of Gujarat."

Commenting further, he said, "Telangana is also known as the startup State of India and has more than 6000 startups registered and more than 3000 incubatees established in the State. I would like to highlight that Gujarat is also reviving its startup and innovation policy and IT & ITeS policy to encourage and support the existing IT firms to expand their business in Gujarat as well as to young entrepreneurs to set up their innovative businesses in the State."

He further asserted: "Being true to its entrepreneurial spirit, Gujarat is home to leading startups mentorship institutes such as iHub, iCreate and Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI). Our aim is to shape India's next star unicorns from Gujarat."

According to Trivedi, the Gujarat Government is keen to scale up investments in next-generation infrastructure, energy and digital networks, emerging technologies, financial technologies (fintech), startups and innovation, electric vehicles, research and development, knowledge exchange, exports, tourism and financial services. The State will also benefit from the upcoming 'Dedicated Freight Corridor' (DFC) and 'Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

"To enhance 'ease of doing business' the government has created portals for land bank and investor facilitation. The State's agency, iNDEXTb, has dedicated investor relationship officers and country desks to handhold and facilitate investors," he said.

"The mega industrial infrastructure projects of Dholera SIR and GIFT City will drive the next wave of growth in Gujarat. GIFT City hosts India's maiden International Financial Service Centre (IFSC) Authority and an International Bullion Exchange. It offers unified banking, insurance, offshoring and capital markets services," he added.

The VGGS was conceptualized in 2003 under the leadership of Modi (the then Chief Minister of Gujarat). Ever since, the summit has emerged as a global forum for business networking, knowledge-sharing and strategic partnerships for inclusive socio-economic development.
